Brim

Quick Stats

Likes: warm shelves, workshop noise, small keepsakes, sitting near ongoing projects, being included without being fussed over. Dislikes: clutter being moved without warning, cheap screwdrivers, closed doors, anyone pretending they know where the missing part went.

Quirk

Brim will relocate himself to the nearest available high spot whenever tools come out, then watch the entire job with the expression of someone reviewing a performance.

Whispered Note

Brian has occasionally found a missing workshop trinket tucked near Brim days later. It is never anything important enough to cause trouble, and Brim always looks far too innocent to be questioned effectively.

Backstory

Brim lives with Brian because he chooses to, which seems to be the only arrangement he considers acceptable. Most days he can be found stretched across a shelf, curled beside a workbench, or settled just close enough to whatever Brian is doing to make it clear that the project is now under supervision. He rarely interferes. He simply watches with the steady, unreadable attention of a creature who may or may not know exactly what is about to go wrong.

Brim has a habit of collecting small objects that look insignificant to everyone else: a worn washer from a finished build, a clipped bit of filament in an interesting color, a tiny screw from a machine that no longer exists. He does not seem interested in value, only association. If something mattered during a good day, a difficult repair, or a project worth remembering, there is a fair chance Brim has quietly claimed it. The result is not exactly a hoard. It is more like a badly organized archive maintained by a dragon with no intention of explaining his filing system.
