Travelers who spot those brief flashes sometimes mistake them for floating jewels, though George insists he is far more handsome than any ordinary gemstone.
Despite his radiant appearance, George is not especially interested in grand thrones or glittering treasure hoards. His favorite resting spot is the edge of a high shelf, where he can survey the room with one eye half-closed and pretend he is guarding an ancient mountaintop.
